About me
I am a third-year film television and theatre student studying at the University of Reading. I have talent for writing and creating stories and presenting them in a clear and innovative way through my experience of being a producer. I am confident in my line of work as I am a strong leader and collaborator of creative ideas.
Film
This is an example of my work from a group project in the first year of my degree. We where placed in groups and given roles, i was location sound and it was my job to record all the sound on the day of filming, both diegetic and non diegetic.
TV
In the first year of my degree we were given the task of creating a clip of Eastenders following recent storylines in the soap. We chose to add an inbetween clip for a storyline including a mother and her son. Although i am the actress in this we worked together as a group to research and come up with our ideas for our final product. We had three attempts to shoot this scene, as our task was to fim live, without cut and further editing, just with cameras and a mix board.
Another assignment i had in my first year was to recreate the opening of a film. We had to make a contemporary update of the 1940s film Caught, and adapt its values to fit a twenty-first century view. We chose to focus on how in our century it is no longer necessary for a woman to rely on a man. We shot this short sequence over the course of the day, Unlike in our tv projects, we did not have set roles and so each of us had a say in every aspect. I helped with the script the lighting sound etc along with the rest of my group.

For my first assignment in second year we had to create a 5 shot short composition no longer than two minutes. there could be no more than one simple camera movement, no dialogue or music. It also had to stick to conventions of continuity editing. There had to be an individual sitting in a room next to a window with a significant object.
We decided to have a boy sat in a wheelchair by a window. we wanted to show how a physical loss can also be a mental loss so we created an ex footballer who had a love for the sport, but now could not play. We wanted to show the lack of hope he had and how the loss had effected him.

I chose the Sandman. I decided to make it a science fiction thriller set in the future. I came up with my idea, wrote the script, cast it and helped film it. click below to see my intentions, script storyboard and evaluation
Film
For my third-year final film, I decided to make a documentary. It is a 10 minute personal documentary on Domestic Abuse called Family Secrets.
I made this documentary to expand my repertoire and try something different. This also became a very personal film that was an outlet for events that had happened in my life. I mainly worked on this myself with input from my supervisor. however, I did need more hands during production and had Sian Foskett and Anya Van Heiningen
